Kōhunga Kōrero: Storytimes in te reo Māori

Thirty minutes of stories, rhymes and songs in te reo Māori for pre-schoolers and their caregivers. These storytimes are a great way for you and your child to learn Te Reo!

Pre-School Storytimes

Pre-school storytimes are interactive sessions with stories, songs and rhymes. They are... fun and free ... at all Wellington City Libraries ... for children, parents and carers to share.

Recommended for children aged 2 - 4, but younger children are always welcome. Visit our services page for session times.

Library Bookclubs

We have two programmes for primary-aged children that run on a monthly basis (no meeting in January) at some of our branches:

BookBusters for seven to eight year olds.
BookBusters... have fun, read books, solve puzzles, write stories, draw pictures, win prizes!

BookBusters is a club just for 7 and 8 year olds. We meet once a month to talk about our favourite books, do activities, and listen to stories.

BookSeekers for nines to twelves.
BookSeekers is a cool FREE book club for 9 to 12 year olds. We meet once a month at the library and share our reading experiences. Our club leaders make sure there are plenty of enjoyable activities to keep us busy at meetings.
