Libraries are a key public face of Wellington City Council, having a high level of customer usage and satisfaction in dealing with millions of customer transactions annually. Our ongoing goals are to progress people's access choices to information and inspiration, and remain connected to communities to support their needs for leisure or learning.

The Central Library has the highest visitor rate per capita in N.Z. and sustains a 99-100% customer satisfaction rating. Staff meet customer needs through a variety of channels; in-person, website, telephone, and via extension services.
Due to a resignation within the Central Enquiries team, we are looking for a Customer Service team member to work seventeen hours per week.
You will assist in providing a full array of reference services in a wide range of subject areas. eg.

It is envisaged that the successful applicant will work these hours between Friday and Monday which will include two weekday evening shifts and weekend day shift work.
