What's on at Tawa Library?

Spring into Tawa Market Day

On Saturday 12 September Tawa Library joined the community in celebrating the annual 'Spring into Tawa Market Day', and encouraged people to 'spring' into Tawa Library to check out all the neat things we have to offer. Our festive displays and activities included: jazz and classical music performances, morris dancing, face painting, a treasure hunt, and crafts. A fantastic time was had by all - despite the wet weather!

A Quick Five Focus on...

Susannah

  • I've worked here at Tawa for 2 and ½ years
  • When I'm not at work I like to watch movies and act in plays.
  • My ultimate lunchtime read is Howl's Moving Castle.
  • If I were a book/ film character I would be The Princess Bride because she ends up with Wesley!
  • Here's my top library tip : You can renew your items online at home! It only costs $1 per item [plus any rental fee] to keep them for an extra week, and you can pay the fee the next time you visit the library.
