On Saturday 12 September Tawa Library joined the community in celebrating the annual 'Spring into Tawa Market Day', and encouraged people to 'spring' into Tawa Library to check out all the neat things we have to offer. Our festive displays and activities included: jazz and classical music performances, morris dancing, face painting, a treasure hunt, and crafts. A fantastic time was had by all - despite the wet weather!

We're constantly getting fresh and exciting new books here at Tawa Library. New books are now displayed near the bestseller magazines, opposite the service counter.
Baby Rock and Rhyme is a free, fun programme for babies under two years and their parents/caregivers. Sessions are held every Friday morning at 10.00am, during school terms only. Sessions run for 20 - 30 minutes. There is no need to register, just come along and have an enjoyable time with your baby. BookBusters is a club for 7 and 8 year olds. We meet once a month to talk about favourite books, do activities and listen to stories. Pre-schoolers are invited to join us each week on Mondays at 10:30am for a fun-filled half hour.
This seniors group meets at 10.30am on the first Tuesday of every month except January. This has proved very popular with everyone joining in sharing items of interest and laughs.
