Holiday Programme

Karori Library celebrated New Zealand children's books these school holidays, with kids designing their own special book cover. Thank you to everyone who came and participated, it was great having you there!

Eco Bags

Creative library staff made wearable art made from Wellington City Libraries eco bags - modelled here by Karori librarians. Eco bags can be purchased for $3 each.

Baby Rock & Rhyme

A fun, interactive session for babies (aged 0 to 2 years) and their caregivers. Sessions run every Monday during school term time at 9:45am.

BookBusters

BookBusters is an energetic, creative and inspiring club for 7-8 year old readers. At Karori Library our BookBusters meet on the first Tuesday of the month at 4pm. For more information, including how to join, check out the BookBusters page!

BookSeekers

BookSeekers is a fun book club for 9 to 12 year olds. We meet at Karori Library on the second Tuesday of the month at 4pm. For more information, including how to join, check out the BookSeekers page!

Storytime

• Pre-school Storytime is held at Karori Library every week day at 10:30am in the children's area.
• Sessions run for about half an hour, with stories and songs.
• Storytimes are fun and free - there is no charge, and you do not have to book.
• Storytime sessions are aimed at pre-school children (three and four years old) - but younger siblings are always welcome!

Book Group

Karori Library hosts a friendly and informal book group for adults. This group meets in the library on the last Thursday of the month from 7-8pm. For further information email Max.

Chinese Seniors Group

• This friendly group of local Chinese residents meet at Karori Library on the third Tuesday of each month from 10-11am for discussion about life and current events in New Zealand.
• All welcome.

Food and Drink

Karori Library includes a cafe, Arobake on the Square. You are welcome to bring your food and drink from the cafe (be it a BLT or coffee and cake) through to the library to relax in our comfy armchairs on the ground floor.
