Library Spotlight: BookSeekers!

BookSeekers logo

See what some of our current members like about BookSeekers:

So, what is BookSeekers?

BookSeekers is a FREE library book club for 9 to 12 year olds that meets once a month to discuss books and do fun activities and challenges.

What is the idea behind BookSeekers?

BookSeekers encourages young readers to step out and try new genres of books that they wouldn't normally read (but may find out that they like!).

Brooklyn Bookseekers Group

How do they do they achieve this?

Each month they are set the task of reading one book from a different category, eg. fantasy, adventure, graphic novels or history. Then they rate the book and talk about it to the group. The challenge is to have read a book from 10 different genres by the end of the year.

Brooklyn Bookseekers members
